Winter Training
Links to winter training are below but here are a few tips and tricks to make winter running successful:
- Plan your week ahead of time. Take in account weather, your own personal plans and when the sun goes down. If you go into the week with a clear plan, you are much more likely to follow through with it.
- Take a week day off instead of Sunday. The sun sets so quickly after you are done with school, plan higher mileage days for Saturday/Sunday when you have more daylight to work with.
- Cross train when needed and remember that 30 min of running is equivalent to 60 min of bike or ski or aqua jog
- Finally, find friends to run with!
